Emerging trends in Manchester’s residential market show that purchasers are seeking properties with more space and a higher specification. We wanted to set a new benchmark for luxury living in the city. The main driver has therefore been a focus on quality over quantity – 14 different apartment types across a total of just 24 apartments gives the scheme an air of an exclusive boutique hotel.

The architecture takes references from the site’s rich industrial heritage with high quality bricks, natural slate and bespoke metal work.

The focus has been on providing large living space and entertaining spaces with bespoke kitchens, generous master bedrooms, and plenty of storage space. The larger apartments feature master suites with large sitting areas, dressing rooms, and en suites with a separate bath and walk in shower. Upper floor apartments benefit from views of the canal basin from their own private terraces.

As one of the last great sites to be developed in Castlefield, we wanted to deliver a building of high architectural merit to do justice to the stunning location.

Beautiful bathrooms with wall hung basin and wc’s by Vileroy and Boch and baths by Novellini.

Fully tiled throughout using large format porcelain tiles with matte black and brushed stainless steal fixings.

All of the apartments within Canal Wharf House include bespoke German kitchens with handleless doors incorporating the latest soft close systems, enclosing some of the highest quality Bosch and Siemens appliances with Dekton worktops, islands and splashbacks.

Canal Wharf House is located in the heart of Castlefield, an inner city conservation area which lies at the South of the city centre. Castlefield is filled with history, an area where the Romans established their fort in AD79 and laid the foundations for the growth of Mamcuniam which gave its name to Manchester.

Castlefield is also one of the most established neighbourhoods of modern Manchester, with a settled population of residents who love that is offers a quiet calm just minutes from the city centre. Positioned on the Bridgewater Canal, it is just a 5 minute walk to Deansgate Train station and Castlefield Metrolink.

There several charming bars & restaurants including The Wharf, Dukes 92 and Alberts Shed, all with outdoor seating areas to enjoy during the summer months with views overlooking the canals. Another amazing destination in the neighbourhood is the Castlefield Bowl, an outdoor events pavilion that regularly hosts rock & classical concerts as well as food festivals.

The Castlefield Viaduct, a 330-metre disused railway viaduct originally build in 1892, in June 2021 the National Trust unveiled plans to turn it into a ‘sky park’. Everything the City has to offer is close by, including Harvey Nichols, Spinningfields & Deansgate. A tranquil & beautiful part of the city centre & the perfect place to call home.
